For kind, fair and effective behaviour therapy for your pet...
I am a Qualified, Registered Veterinary Nurse with over 10 years of experience and have an Advanced Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour and Training. As a CAPBT Associate pet behaviourist specialising in dogs and cats, I have extensive practical, veterinary and academic knowledge of canine and feline psychology and behaviour.
Working with you and your pet I use a holistic approach to solving any issues that they may have. All recommendations and treatment programmes are tailored to your pet as an individual and are based on kind, effective techniques that fit with your personal situation.
I am an associate member of the COAPE Association of Pet Behaviourists and Trainers (CAPBT). I studied at the Centre Of Applied Pet Ethology where I gained an Advanced Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour and Training, having been tutored by Professor Peter Neville, Robert Falconer-Taylor MRCVS and Val Strong MSc.
The CAPBT represents a membership base of 200+ specifically qualified behaviourists for referral of pet behaviour and training problems. Visit www.capbt.org to find out more about the Association.
I offer a complete behavioural service to help you live in harmony with your pet. I can offer general advice through to in depth behaviour consultations.
Despite being adaptable, it can be difficult for our pets to adjust to the often frantic pace at which we live our lives. Many things can lead to behavioural problems such as:
- Indoor marking and soiling.
- Aggression toward people and/or other pets.
- Separation related problems.
- Fearful and phobic behaviours.
- Pica. (Wool/ fabric/strange object eating)
- Inter cat aggression in multi cat households.
- Over grooming.
...... and many other problems.
Problems such as these can often be successfully treated with behavioural counselling after a veterinary examination to exclude physiological concerns.
I treat every client and pet with the respect, dignity and the professional accord that they deserve and I never lose sight of the individual needs of either.
Please contact me if your pet is experiencing any problems and I will be happy to help.
I am happy to travel throughout the whole of Yorkshire, so no matter where you are situated you can benefit from my knowledge and experience.
